Safe Routes to School (SRTS)
We are working to improve walking opportunities in Knoxville by providing a Safe Routes to School program at various elementary schools. Knox County’s Safe Routes to School Partnership is also working to get more kids walking at more elementary schools. Here are a few tips about how kids can walk safely to school! There are five videos about being visible, safely crossing the street, walking on paths, minimizing distractions, and staying in a group.
