Advisory Committee

The Bike Walk Knoxville Advisory Committee is made up of individuals who are knowledgeable about bike and pedestrian issues and join Bike Walk Knoxville in it's mission to make the Knoxville region a better place to bike and walk for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Members of the Bike Walk Knoxville Advisory Committee provide expert advice on biking and walking issues that impact the Knoxville area. The committee meets with Bike Walk Knoxville staff and volunteers bi-monthly to assess and evaluate the organization’s progress with its stated goals.

Advisory Committee membership includes representatives from the following organizations: Knoxville-Knox County Planning Commission, City of Knoxville Greenways Commission, Jeff Roth Cycling Foundation, UTK Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sports Studies, Kickstand Bike Collective, City of Knoxville Engineering Department - Transportation Engineering Division, UTK Office of Sustainability, East Tennessee Community Design Center, Knoxville City Council, Knoxville-Knox County Planning, and the Knoxville Regional TPO. Community advocates also serve on the committee.

Bike Walk Knoxville currently has one sub-committee, created to implement initiatives/campaigns consistent with the organization’s mission and goals.
